Set Up Course Categories, Curriculums & Grades

Before adding students and scheduling classes, define your grade levels, curriculums, categories, and subject tuition fees in the Subject Catalog.

1. Define Grade Levels

Admin Portal → Subject Catalog → Settings Tab

Grade levels organize students, tutors, and group classes across your academy.

  • In the left sidebar, click Subject Catalog, then select the SETTINGS tab at the top.
  • In the Grade Levels section, click the + New Grade button at the top-right.
  • Enter the Grade Name (e.g. "Grade 1") and Code (e.g. "GRADE-1"), then save.

2. Map Curriculums

Admin Portal → Subject Catalog → Settings Tab

Curriculums define educational standards or syllabus outlines (e.g. Lower Primary, CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE).

  • Under the SETTINGS tab, scroll down to the Curriculums section.
  • Click the + Add Curriculum button on the right.
  • Enter your curriculum standard name (e.g. "Lower Primary", "CBSE") and click save.

3. Configure Categories

Admin Portal → Subject Catalog → Settings Tab

Categories group broad study divisions (e.g. Foundation, Tuition, Spoken English).

  • Under the SETTINGS tab, scroll to the Categories section.
  • Click the + Add Category button on the right.
  • Input category name (e.g. "Foundation", "Tuition") and save.

4. Establish Course Subjects

Admin Portal → Subject Catalog → Subjects Tab

Subjects represent the actual topics taught. Every scheduled class is linked to a specific subject.

  • Switch to the SUBJECTS tab at the top of the Subject Catalog page.
  • Click + Add Subject at the top-right.
  • Enter subject name (e.g. "Physics") and code, then assign the category, curriculum, and applicable Grade Levels.

5. Map Subject Fees & Tutor Rates

Admin Portal → Subject Catalog → Pricing Tab

Configure tuition pricing and tutor pay rates per class session.

  • Switch to the PRICING tab at the top of the Subject Catalog page.
  • Find the target subject and click + MANAGE.
  • Input Course Fee, Session Count, and Tutor Pay rate, then click Save.
